What are the first sounds a baby will make?

Be sure to buy My First Sounds and Words on Etsy and watch Learn with Adrienne on her Facebook page this Friday, Augusts 5, 2016.  Adrienne will demonstrate effective ways you can use my flashcards in order to elicit the early sounds in English.  So excited to have connected with her.

My First Sounds and Words Flashcards contains over 40 flashcards/pictures that are easiest for your baby/toddler to say. The flashcards contain pictures of sounds and words that are acquired first by your baby (M, B, P, H & N). Most flashcards available to parents target words that are TOO challenging for your little one. This set contains words and sounds that your baby/toddler will naturally have an easier time in imitating or when saying the name of picture card. My First Sounds and Words was developed by myself, Kimberly Marino. I am a licensed speech and language pathologist (and feeding specialist) and have been working for over 23 years with children from birth to three. These cards truly were developed out of necessity-given the limit on flashcards that are easiest for baby/toddler to say. The flashcards are colorful and vibrant and fun for your little one to look at! A brief explanation is given to help you help your little one say the early sounds and a link to my website is provided. Best of all my website has my email posted-for you to contact me with any speech-language-feeding question.
Have fun!

About Kim

My name is Kim Marino and I have been practicing as a licensed speech and language pathologist since 1993. I work on Long Island providing diagnostic evaluations and services to children from birth to age 21. My experience is vast and am proud to say that I work with children that may present with articulation and phonological concerns, oral motor feeding concerns, Down Syndrome feeding, cognitive rehabilitation, auditory processing delays, receptive language delays, cleft palate feeding and sound development and expressive language delays. Most importantly, I am the mother of four amazing children and am happily married to my childhood sweetheart. I feel blessed to have my four children and so lucky to share this journey in life with my husband. I always had it somewhere in my head that I wanted to develop a blog or a website of some sort so that I could provide families with an additional resource....so that parents could help their little ones become a better communicator. And as I was developing this blog....I realized that I also needed to share the stories about my life and my children....and the funny things along the way that help to keep me smiling. Whether you are a working mother or not...finding balance between home, children and life can be a challenge....I hope that my blog helps to bring a smile to your face..and also some tools to help you help your little or big one. I hope you enjoy! Kim
