The Speech Mama Contest: #2!

My last contest was such a success…so….I decided to run another one in the month of October….I will have Bella (thank you Bella!) pick out the winner on Wednesday October 31st, 2012-Halloween!…and the winner of the contest will receive a free speech and language consultation with me!….now remember if you live close enough we will meet at the local library..and if too far….we will have a phone conference.  The winner of the last contest spoke with me on Friday September 28, 2012 for about one hour.  SN (mom) and Dad had many questions…and I feel I was very helpful in leading them in the right direction to help their little one.  SN emailed reports that were recently completed so I had a chance to read them and make some recommendations..give some strategies..and a bit of a therapy plan.  We plan to speak again in the next few weeks…and parents may even come up to Long Island so that I can meet them and their son…how wonderful!  Making connections and helping people all over the world…paying it forward.

So the rules of the contest…purchase my app: Play 2 Learn….and on Monday October 29 2012….I will post 2 questions in reference to my app….answer the questions via email:  DM me on Twitter  or PM me on FB…..all of the people who entered will then be placed in a hat…and Bella will then pick out the winning name on Halloween!  Good luck everyone…and thank you for your great support!

About Kim

My name is Kim Marino and I have been practicing as a licensed speech and language pathologist since 1993. I work on Long Island providing diagnostic evaluations and services to children from birth to age 21. My experience is vast and am proud to say that I work with children that may present with articulation and phonological concerns, oral motor feeding concerns, Down Syndrome feeding, cognitive rehabilitation, auditory processing delays, receptive language delays, cleft palate feeding and sound development and expressive language delays. Most importantly, I am the mother of four amazing children and am happily married to my childhood sweetheart. I feel blessed to have my four children and so lucky to share this journey in life with my husband. I always had it somewhere in my head that I wanted to develop a blog or a website of some sort so that I could provide families with an additional that parents could help their little ones become a better communicator. And as I was developing this blog....I realized that I also needed to share the stories about my life and my children....and the funny things along the way that help to keep me smiling. Whether you are a working mother or not...finding balance between home, children and life can be a challenge....I hope that my blog helps to bring a smile to your face..and also some tools to help you help your little or big one. I hope you enjoy! Kim
