Inspirational quote about life

Your life is always working, whether you know it or not. Sometimes it works to bring you what you want, and sometimes it works to keep you from what you think you want.     Neale Donald Walsch

I think this quote above is so true…..sometimes in life you do not know why certain things happen…and you try to manage during those times of disapointment…because what you wanted did not happen…..but then later on…down the road…you come to realize that you are where you are in life because it was meant to be…and that something else happened now in your life that was even more important than what you initially thought you wanted.  It’s hard to get to that place though…and sometimes hard to believe while you are working through the disappointment…that what is meant to be and what is meant to happen will be better than what you are grieving about….I guess it is about having faith…and knowing that “this too shall pass.”

I believe our lives…take us where we need to be….we are working in that process to get us to that place….however…it is the believing while you are working through the process….of getting to where you belong….it is the believing that where you will be is where you are meant to be….and that along the way…certain people are brought into your life for  an important reason.

I do not believe that those encounters are random…..because the people who I have met in my life…whether it is a new friend…or a new family at work that now becomes a friend…it becomes evident at some point to me that it actually was destiny for our lives to cross.

I am always so thankful to the old friends and new friends….thankful that our paths have crossed in this lifetime…and that together we help each other to get where we need to be…..so thank-you new friends and old….

About Kim

My name is Kim Marino and I have been practicing as a licensed speech and language pathologist since 1993. I work on Long Island providing diagnostic evaluations and services to children from birth to age 21. My experience is vast and am proud to say that I work with children that may present with articulation and phonological concerns, oral motor feeding concerns, Down Syndrome feeding, cognitive rehabilitation, auditory processing delays, receptive language delays, cleft palate feeding and sound development and expressive language delays. Most importantly, I am the mother of four amazing children and am happily married to my childhood sweetheart. I feel blessed to have my four children and so lucky to share this journey in life with my husband. I always had it somewhere in my head that I wanted to develop a blog or a website of some sort so that I could provide families with an additional resource....so that parents could help their little ones become a better communicator. And as I was developing this blog....I realized that I also needed to share the stories about my life and my children....and the funny things along the way that help to keep me smiling. Whether you are a working mother or not...finding balance between home, children and life can be a challenge....I hope that my blog helps to bring a smile to your face..and also some tools to help you help your little or big one. I hope you enjoy! Kim
